Talkspace - a free text-based therapy option for UF graduate assistants

Graduate assistants who are enrolled in GatorGradCare are eligible for confidential text message-based therapy are part of a new pilot program. If you find the need to talk to a mental health professional but can’t come to the Gainesville Center for Wellness and Counseling, you may wish to check out the Talkspace service. https://redemption.talkspace.com/redemption/gatorcare

From the Talkspace web site: “GatorCare understands with busy schedules, it’s sometimes difficult to make the time to get help. GatorCare has partnered with New Directions to offer graduate assistants (18+) who are enrolled in GatorGradCare access to Talkspace services. You now have convenient access to professional, personal and confidential help by using Talkspace online therapy, at no cost to eligible members. Online, message-based therapy through Talkspace is confidential and secure”

Talkspace is not a crisis or hotline resource so if experiencing a crisis, please reach out to your CALS faculty mentor, a trusted friend/colleague, or avail yourself of one of these resources - https://helpnow.talkspace.com/ We are here to help you and take this motto seriously – U Matter, We Care.
