ABE Robotics Team wins ASABE Award!

 Congratulations to the ABE Robotics Team which won the 'Best Written Report Award' for ASABE.

The members of the team are Bryce Askey, Congliang Zhou, Robert Herring, Xue Zhou, Ruoyao Qin, Songzi Wu and Chi Zhang. The team’s advisors are Dr. Ampatzidis and Dr. Lee.

ABE student wins KK Barnes Competition at AIM!

 Congratulations to Juan Daniel Cornu Sanchez for winning 1st place in the KK Barnes Competition at AIM. 

The title of his research was "Establishing a Method for Investigating Microbial Polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) Production from Anaerobic Digestion Biproducts and his advisor was Dr. Ana Martin Ryals.

Hydrologist Position - Deadline 7/20/21

There is a Vacancy Opportunity for an Hydrologist GS-1315-13 in the Office of Food Safety (OFS), Division of Produce Safety (DPS), Fresh Produce Branch (FPB) located in College Park, MD. The announcement closes on 7/20/2021, or sooner if/when 100 applications are received.

Responsibilities for this position include:
  • Performs analyses and evaluation of data samples and documented information gathered during inspections and investigations of fresh produce production.
  • Prepares documents embodying policy and program proposals and decisions related to agricultural water issues and how they relate to the safety of fresh produce for human consumption.
  • Participates in and provides guidance during the development of training for regulatory specialist and other professionals within FDA on matters related to the use of agricultural water.

Oklahoma Water Resources Center - Positions Available

 The Oklahoma Water Resources Center has several open positions that will be headquartered in Stillwater, OK and serve as an integral part of a new collaborative research effort between the Oklahoma State University-OWRC, USDA-Agricultural Research Services (ARS) and the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).  This new joint effort, titled Dam Analysis Modernization of Tools, Applications, Guidance and Standardization (DAM-TAGS), will develop engineering tools, design guidance documents, and computational software and applications for monitoring, inspecting and rehabilitation of aging dams.
