Florida Stormwater Association Scholarships
We are pleased to announce the availability of stormwater scholarships from the Florida Stormwater Association Educational Foundation (FSAEF) in 2020. Please help us spread the word by sharing this information!
Graduate students studying water quality, stormwater management or stormwater finance at a Florida college or university are eligible to receive the scholarships.
The Florida Stormwater Association (FSA) is a non-profit, professional association of local governments, engineering and consulting firms, water management districts, and academic institutions that have an interest in stormwater management and finance. Its goals are to improve water quality and enhance the stormwater management profession in Florida. The FSA Educational Foundation is a parallel organization that supports FSA through stormwater research and the scholarship program.
The deadline to submit an application for this year’s scholarships is August 7, 2020. Visit the Scholarship Page for information on the program.

PhD Supplemental funding for self-funded students
DELORES AUZENNE DISSERTATION AWARD
The Delores Auzenne Dissertation Award, named in honor of Delores
Auzenne, was established to assist underrepresented doctoral students with
little or no funding to complete their dissertations. The program provides
funding to Ph.D. candidates in the advanced stages of their dissertations.
Students on fellowships or assistantship are not eligible. The award
provides up to $15,000, and up to 5 credit hours of in-state tuition and fees.
Successful applicants may receive funds over the course of Summer and the
following Fall Semester or Spring Semester and the following Summer.
Deadline: Friday, March 20, 2020 by 5 p.m.
SUPPLEMENTAL RETENTION SCHOLARSHIP
The Supplemental Retention Scholarship is designed for UF doctoral
students, who are three or fewer semesters away from graduation but are no
longer eligible to receive a fellowship, assistantship or other funding from
their department or college. It provides financial support for 3 credit hours
in the Fall and Spring and 2 credit hours in the Summer of in-state-tuition and
the help of a structured retention program under the UF Office of Graduate
Diversity Initiatives (OGDI).

International Tea Time, Tuesdays, 5:30 p.m.
Make connections across borders in a comfortable setting with
food, fun, friends: International Tea Time is a casual place where you can
meet, talk, and simply enjoy getting to know more people. This is a great
opportunity to take a break from school, learn about other people, and make
friends from around the world. Ethnic tea and snacks will be provided. There’s
no need to sign up to attend — come and go as you please!
This
weekly social is cosponsored by the UF Counseling & Wellness Center, UFGIFT
(UF Gator International Focus Team), and UF Graduate & Family Housing.
