The UF Teaching Center, in conjunction with the UF Graduate School, conducts several workshops each semester which are designed to help new teachers improve their teaching skills.
There are two strands of workshops: Basic Skills for Facilitating Learning (G) and Teaching with Technology (T).
The Teaching with Technology workshops meet on Tuesdays 5-7 p.m. beginning August 27, 2013 with a hands-on session "Introduction to Sakai."
The Facilitating Learning workshops will typically be conducted on Thursdays 5-7 p.m. beginning August 29, 2013 with a workshop on "Leading Discussions."
A "Certificate of Participation" will be awarded to all who complete at least 10 of the 12 workshops in either strand.
