Family Day at the Dairy Farm

The University of Florida's Dairy Unit invites you to the 2018 Family Day at the Dairy Farm to be held this year on Saturday March 31 (9:00 am – 2:00pm), at the University of Florida Dairy Unit near Gainesville! This now annual event is an Open House for the general public to come visit a working dairy farm. We have about 18 stations with educational information, staffed by professors, graduate students and volunteers. In 2017 we had 1600 visitors. This will be the 5th Family Day at the Dairy Farm. Admission for the public is free.

Join us for a fun-filled, educational experience. See a working dairy farm. Learn where milk comes from. Meet researchers and veterinarians who work to improve Florida's dairy production, animal welfare and environmental sustainability. New stations added this year! Please wear closed-toe shoes. All children must be accompanied by an adult. No pets please. Free admission, and rain or shine! Presented by University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, with support from Florida Dairy Farmers.
