Register Now: UF Diversity Graduate Research Symposium, October 31, 2018
The second annual UF Diversity Graduate Research Symposium is slated for Wednesday, October 31, 2018 (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) in Reitz Union on the UF campus.
Hosted by the UF Black Graduate Student Organization (BGSO) with the UF College of Medicine Diversity Committee, this event features oral and poster presentations from UF graduate students — showcasing the quality and diversity of graduate research at UF across all disciplines (biological sciences, computer sciences, engineering, humanities, mathematics, physical sciences, and social sciences) — plus Dr. Madhukar Thakur as keynote speaker, highlighting the importance of diversity in research.
This symposium gives UF graduate students opportunity to share their research experience and enhance communication skills with others outside of their disciplines.
This event is open to everyone who registers. Post-doctoral trainees and faculty will judge presentations, with prizes going to presentation winners. There will also be a raffle and free food for attendees.
The deadline for UF graduate students to register and submit abstracts (no more than 3,000 characters, about 500 words) is Friday, September 28, 2018.
