Mechanical harvest of snap beans
Course Highlights: Students will study how fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs and floral crops are commercially harvested and handled to ensure highest quality and safety.
During Spring Break students will spend 5 days visiting Florida growers, packers, exporters and importers of fresh produce. These experiences will contribute to their study of how the numerous steps in the value chain affect postharvest quality.
