LeadUF Facilitator Application
Faculty, staff and graduate students are invited to apply to facilitate the LeadUF experience! Facilitators should have a willingness to foster a mentoring relationship with undergraduates at the University of Florida. During the retreat, facilitators will lead large group activities, small group discussions, reflections, outdoor experiences and foster time for students to connect with other leaders. Those selected are expected to attend all trainings and portions of the LeadUF retreat.
Facilitator Requirements
Be a faculty or staff member, or graduate student at the University of Florida
Submit Facilitator Application
Be available for facilitator training sessions: March 17th, 2-4pm at UF and March 30th (after work, evening) at Camp Suwannee.
Attend LeadUF all day March 31-April 2 (food and accommodation at Camp Suwannee are provided, facilitators are responsible for transportation to and from the retreat)
Support and follow the LeadUF Curriculum
Have departmental and/or college support to attend LeadUF
Have a willingness to foster a mentoring relationship with undergraduates at the University of Florida

UF Fulbright Pechakucha, 2/9/17, 5:30 p.m.
The next Fulbright Pechakucha to be held on February 9, 2017 from 5:30 to 7 pm at the UF International Center (The Hub). Pechakucha is a presentation format in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each. Presentations are concise and fast paced! Pechakuchas are also a great time to network with U.S. and international Fulbright participants on UF campus.

Thomas H. Smouse Memorial Fellowship
The Thomas H. Smouse Memorial Fellowship is awarded to a graduate student doing research in areas of interest to AOCS. Smouse was President of AOCS in 1983 and a noted industrial researcher into the flavor chemistry of fats and oils.
Eligibility requirements:
This award is open to graduate students doing research in areas of interest to AOCS. Please refer to the Award Guidelines (.pdf) for the detailed eligibility guidelines.
Nominations Candidates should compile a completed application (.doc) and official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate college or university work completed to date, and provide these to their major professor. The professor will then review the application for completeness, and fill out the required professor statement contained within the application. The completed application and all supporting materials should then be sent as a single mailing to the AOCS main office by February 1.

- Individuals must be scholastically outstanding with interests and involvement outside their academic discipline
- Must be enrolled full-time as a graduate student for the 2017-2018 academic year
