Have you looked through the microscope to find something beautiful? Is your art focused on the tools and concepts of science? The Elegance of Science Contest art competition emphasizes and facilitates the link between artistic and scientific perceptions of reality. We invite the UF community to submit artwork to the 2014/2015 Elegance of Science Contest. Winners and select contestants will have their artwork displayed on the walls of the Marston Science Library and at the awards reception at the Florida Museum of Natural History.
The contest’s goals are to:
• Capture in imagery the research endeavors of the students, faculty and staff at the University of Florida.
• Encourage appreciation of scientific art.
All entries must be received by December 20, 2014.
Prizes
1st prize - $150
2nd prize - $100
3rd prize - $50
