How can graduate students publish more? What writing skills increase your chances of your work being accepted by academic journals?

Dr. Shyam Sharma is a professor of writing and rhetoric at SUNY Stony Brook University in New York. A former international student and recipient of many awards including the K. Patricia Cross Award for Future Leaders of American Higher Education, he specializes in the research and teaching of academic and professional writing to international students especially at the graduate level and especially in the STEM fields. He is currently working on a book that seeks to document best practices in this area across US universities.
