AgMIP 5th Global Workshop @ UF February 25-28, 2015

The 5th Agricultural Model Intercomparison and Improvement Project (AgMIP) Global Workshop will be held at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL at emerson Alumni Hall starting on the afternoon of February 25th and concluding midday of February 28th, 2015.

The 5th AgMIP Global Workshop will provide an opportunity to share progress, new understanding, and lessons learned in AgMIP’s numerous research activities. See www.agmip.org to learn more about AgMIP’s activities and opportunities. The workshop will provide opportunities for sharing important AgMIP results, advancement of initiatives underway, development of new collaborative research activities, and planning AgMIP coordinated global and regional climate impact assessments in support of the IPCC 6th Assessment Report (AR6) and other major community initiatives.

The Workshop will allow participants to prioritize what is needed in the next generation of agricultural models and the development of a complementary framework informing sustainable intensification, forming strategies to deliver tailored information at the scales decision-makers require. The Workshop will also solidify linkages between global modeling done for the IPCC AR5 and the integrated framework of climate-crop-livestock-economic models developed in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, with a focus on international linkages and the evaluation of adaptation packages and agricultural development pathways of interest to decision-makers.

These aims will be realized through a mix of keynote presentations, discussions, parallel breakouts, and poster sessions.

You must register to attend this workshop. To register, please visit http://www.agmip.org/5th-agmip-global-workshop/.
