The University of Florida International Center is pleased to announce two important funding opportunities to promote campus leadership in international activities. These programs are designed to elevate the status of UF’s internationalization mission and build strong institutional relationships for global engagement.
1. Global Fellows Program - Call for Applications2015 -2016
This new fellowship program will assist faculty in developing or advancing an international research agenda. The Global Fellows Program will provide support for faculty with:- One-on-one consultations with the Office for Global Research Engagement (OGRE) staff for support with international proposal development
- Seed funding up to $4,000 to cover expenses for an international trip
- Honoria of $1,000 for a Faculty Mentor within the same field of study
- Access to a series of four workshops hosted by OGRE on proposal preparation, and more
- Opportunities for networking and building partnerships
Two information sessions will be held in the Large Conference
Room in the International Center during the first week of October 2015 (one on
October 7th at 4:00 pm and the other on October 8th at

2. Research Abroad for Graduate Students (RAGS) - Call for Applications
The International Center, in conjunction with the College
of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Graduate School and the Office of the
Provost, is pleased to announce the 2015-2016 Research Abroad for Graduate
Students funding opportunity. This opportunity is open to advanced doctoral
students in the STEM disciplines to conduct an extended period of research at a
foreign laboratory or field-site during Spring or Summer 2016. Selected
students will receive funding up to $10,000 towards the costs of the international
