Each spring, the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences recognizes graduate students with the following awards:
· Jimmy G. Cheek Graduate Student Medal of Excellence
The Jimmy G. Cheek Graduate Student Medal of Excellence is awarded annually to an outstanding graduate student currently enrolled in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (students must have a college code of AG or ID). Preference will be given to students pursuing a PhD or DPM degree.
· Jack L. Fry Award for Excellence in Teaching
The Jack L. Fry Excellence in Teaching Award is awarded annually to an outstanding graduate student currently enrolled in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (students must have a college code of AG or ID) who has excelled in classroom or laboratory teaching.
Award applications are due Feb. 8, 2017. Award recipients will be recognized at the CALS Scholarship and Leadership Awards Banquet on April 18, 2017.
The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences is also accepting applications for 2017-2018 Graduate Student Scholarships. Graduate scholarship applications are due April 1 and require two letters of recommendation.
