Water Educator position
The District Extension Water Educator is a member of the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension and is responsible for carrying out the agricultural water conservation initiative and promoting education and best management practices related to water and conservation both with adult and youth audiences. This position is administratively attached to the District Extension Office and administratively reports to the District Extension Director. This position will also work closely with the Extension Irrigation Specialist and the FKaculty and Staff at UGA Stripling Irrigation Research Park, Camilla, GA; to strengthen the extension and applied research program focusing on agricultural water conservation. Graduate Level Water Quality Internship Opportunity
The Everglades Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration of the Everglades, is looking for a graduate level intern to work on water quality projects related to Everglades restoration. This is a six-month (Summer and Fall 2018) position located in our Palmetto Bay, Florida (Miami) office, starting in June 2018. The successful candidate will be expected to have basic knowledge of hydrology and water chemistry with advanced skills in statistics. Hypothesis testing, time series analysis, and geospatial analysis with ArcGIS is critical for this short-term position.
