Job Description
Sumner Engineering & Consulting, Inc., an Okeechobee-based firm, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Project Engineer. The Project Engineer is responsible for preparing calculations, designs and construction documents to support water resource and land development projects for public- and private-sector clients. Typical projects may include a surface water management system, paving/grading, wastewater collection and transmission, and potable water distribution. Projects may also include permitting support, and engineering activities during project construction.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Agricultural or Environmental Engineering
• 2 - 4 years design/engineering experience
• Familiarity with Florida Water Management District regulations
• Proficient in surface water modeling, including AdICPR
• Proficient in AutoCAD (Land Development Desktop and/or Civil3D)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
• PE not required, but should have the ability to take the PE exam within 2 years
