Professional Development: "The Art of Networking" Panel Session- 2/11

The UF Graduate School invites all graduate students to attend the workshop titled “The Art of Networking”. This workshop will be a panel of professionals in the Gainesville Community with a variety of backgrounds and personality styles. They will each share their advice and tricks of the trade for creatively and effectively networking! The panel is comprised of the following professionals:

1. Teresa Scott – Public Works Director for the City of Gainesville.
2. Jen McElroy – Engineer at GRU and serves in many different leadership roles among the community and professional organizations.
3. Sarah Deavenport – an environmental engineer at CH2M Hill.

The format will be 30 minutes of panel members sharing their advice/experience/strategy/do’s and don’ts/etc. (5-10 minutes each), followed by 30 minutes of Q&A. Please send questions (in advance) that you would like discussed to kindarawis@aa.ufl.edu, or come prepared to raise your hand and ask them personally!

The workshop will be held on February 11th, 2014 from 4pm-5pm in Smathers Library East Room 1A.

Registration closes on February 10th at 5 pm or when room capacity is reached (whichever comes first). Register now to guarantee yourself a spot!

Once you login, on the top of the page click on the “Workshops” tab
Under “Register” click the box and then “Submit”
